1. Take the selected log set, preferably dry.

2. Using a dry brush technique; apply sparingly the UCL Lowlight Gel Stain.

3. No more than shown is required to maintain maximum effect.

4. Carefully paint, ideally with a one inch brush, the split areas using the UCL Split Colour Stain.

5. Ensure that no white is showing through and the coating is even.

6. This piece is now ready for dipping, No need for drying.

7. Dip the whole article into the UCL Superwash Stain.

8. Now it’s come to life and looking more realistic.

9. Notice how the UCL Split Colour Stain has not run and has created an aged effect.

10. The UCL Lowlight Gel Stain has been specially formulated to part resist the UCL Superwash Stain this gives the article depth and contrast. Requires drying at 180o Celsius. (Optimum).

11. Using a fine nozzle spray gun, spray the char areas with the UCL Spray Stain.

12. Take care not to over spray onto the split areas.

13. Using a dry brush technique; apply sparingly the UCL Highlight Gel Stain.
